“We are Christ for one another.
You are my Paschal candle blessing.”
Each member of St. Margaret was asked to draw their simple symbol of light, love or resurrection and write a story of how Jesus and the people of St. Margaret shine in their life. They each carved their drawings into clay or foil and were transformed into a wax mold to place on their new Paschal candle. With prayer and devotion, the candles were finished by embellishing them with gold leaf.
By designing and assembling their own Paschal candle, a richer understanding of its meaning has been realized. With St. Margaret, we have traveled deeper into the personal meaning of Sacred Symbols. In all cases, the symbols that are designed by the faithful of that parish are reproduced out of bee’s wax and given out to all the members of the church at Triduum services.
