St. Margaret of Scotland Makes a Paschal Candle

St. Margaret of Scotland Makes a Paschal Candle

Each member of St. Margaret was asked to draw their simple symbol of light, love or resurrection. They each carved their drawings into clay. The clay was then transformed into molds that were used to make wax douplicates that were placed on their new Paschal candle. Eah piece on the candle was finished by embellishing them with gold leaf. This really makes the drawings shine. By designing and assembling their own Paschal candle, a richer understanding of it’s meaning has been realized.
