Honoring Life’s Gift
The challenge is to design a piece that will honor and celebrate life itself for the organ and tissue transplant recipients and their donors. I will use as many types of media available to a twenty-first century artist in inviting all who pass to share in the mystery of our collective humanity — glass, light, computer technology, along with more conventional materials — to invite all to offer their gifts.
Artistic communication embraces the human soul, as the sky does to a single bird at the dawn.
Hospital Welcoming & Wayfinding
In the new Welcome Center at Mt. Clemens Regional/McLaren – Macomb health center, the flow of lines, soft earth tones and the transparency of a carved glass flower invites you into a place of peace and respite.
The Tree of Life
The Tree of Life table and stools at the Children’s chapel in Detroit, Michigan, depicts all four seasons on the four faces of the table’s pedestal, with each stool having the progress of time, as each season unfolds it’s wonder. All who enter are invited to find the correlation in their own life experience.
